What will there be at the fair?

Hobby Model Expo, Italy’s leading model-making exhibition, returns to Parco Esposizioni Novegro from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September!

The event, a unmissable appointment for enthusiasts since 1978, will feature Italian and international exhibitors specialising in:

railway modelling
aeromodelling
ship modelling
military modelling
figurines
Gunpla
Action figures
Dioramas
Lego
Car modelling
Industrial modelling
Agricultural modelling

As always, there will also be railway layouts, various types of scale models on display, workshops and modelling demonstrations.

What’s new: the entire Pavilion B will be dedicated exclusively to associations (which will offer new activities for the public) and, in the outdoor area, visitors will be able to take a carriage ride around the park.

Opening hours (Pavilions A, B, C, D + outdoor area):

-Friday 25 September: 9 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.

-Saturday 26 September: 9 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.

-Sunday 27 September: 9 a.m.– 6.30 p.m.

PRICES

-Daily ticket: 10 euros (from Saturday 19 September, the price will rise to 12 euros)

-2-day pass: 16 euros (from Saturday 19 September, the price will rise to 20 euros)

-Skip-the-queue daily ticket: 14 euros Please note: this ticket is available online exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays during the fair.

* The price of online tickets includes a service charge of 1.30 euros.

Online ticket sales will remain open until 9 p.m. on Friday 25 September.

AT THE TICKET OFFICE:

– Daily ticket: 12 euros

– 2-day pass: 20 euros

– Reduced daily ticket**: 7 euros

** Concessionary admission: available only at the ticket office for military personnel with valid ID.

Free entry: children and young people under the age of 18; people with disabilities, upon presentation of the relevant document (European Disability Card). One accompanying person for a person with a disability of between 80% and 100% is entitled to free admission.

Model railways take the main stage at Hobby Model Expo!

Once again this year, the event will host numerous exhibitors dedicated to the world of model railways: locomotives, carriages, tracks and all manner of accessories for enthusiasts.

There will also be plenty of space dedicated to model railway layouts – true masterpieces of precision and detail, built to various scales, in both standard and modular formats. An unmissable opportunity to admire extraordinary creations and find inspiration for your next projects.

Naval battle, sailing boat regattas and pilot school

A naval battle is a must at Hobby Model Expo!

As usual, the outdoor area of the exhibition centre will host a range of shows and interactive activities focusing on model shipbuilding!

Saturday 26 September

Non-remote-controlled sailing boat regatta – 10.00 am (organised by AMON)
Pilot School – from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm (organised by AMM Associazione Modellisti Milano): younger visitors can try their hand at steering radio-controlled ships and receive a commemorative certificate. Sign up at the exhibition with the association’s staff.
Battle of the Galleons – 3.30 pm (organised by the Pontassieve History and Model-Making Association)

Sunday 27 September

Non-remote-controlled sailing boat regatta – 10.00 am (organised by AMON)
Pilot School / Free sailing for the public – from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm (organised by AAM – Milan Model Makers’ Association)
Battle of the Galleons – 3.30 pm (organised by the Pontassieve History and Model-Making Association)
Battle of Modern Ships and Submarines – 4.30 pm (organised by AAM – Milan Model Makers’ Association)

Hot-air ballon ride

Would you like to experience the thrill of a hot-air balloon ride?

You can do just that at Hobby Model Expo thanks to the balloon from Milano Mongolfiere, which you’ll find in the outdoor area next to the scenic train!

The hot-air balloon will be available to visitors on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm and will carry a maximum of four people at a time.

The experience will involve ascending in a hot-air balloon, tethered to the ground with special ropes, to a height of 15–20 metres.

Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view with your family!

Carriage tour of the Park

After shopping at the Hobby Model Expo stands, fancy relaxing in the park?

If the answer is ‘yes’, hop on the carriage run by Gruppo Italiano Attacchi and enjoy a scenic tour of the exhibition centre’s large green space!

The carriage, which is free for the public to use, can carry a maximum of 4 people (+ 1 child) at a time and will be running on the following days at the following times:

SATURDAY 26 SEPTEMBER

From 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER

From 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
From 1.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

The whole Paviliona A at Hobby Model Expo will be dedicated to military modelling, toy soldiers and figurines!

Hobby Model Expo is the most important Italian trade fair dedicated to the world of modelling. They have tried to imitate it in every way, but copies are never the same as the original, and the Novegro exhibition has had originality to spare since its debut in 1978! Railway modelling, aeromodelling, naval modelling, static modelling: every declination of this exciting universe is showcased here in all its glittering splendour. Each category sees the participation of the most important manufacturers, dealers and magazines in the sector, alongside presentations of models of all scales, competitions, handling tanks, circuits, flight tests and much more.
