Choose the one that’s right for you!
Thematic Exhibition: “Alpini between history and legend 1872 – 2024”
This November’s edition of Militalia will be dedicated to the Penne Nere, protagonists of the exhibition “Alpini between history and legend 1872 – 2024”.
The initiative was made possible thanks to the support of the Comando Truppe Alpine, which contributed to the exhibition set up in the centre of Pavilion C with uniforms and historical documents of this illustrious military formation.
Enriching the theme is the presence of the Associazione Nazionale Alpini , who will present its many activities. Among these, a special mention goes to the ANA’s Protezione Civile, whose rescue vehicles and tents will be on display.
Blindo Armata Centauro and VTLM Lince at Militalia!
The VTLM Lince will be on display in the outdoor area of Militalia!
Here are some things to know about this impressive military vehicle:
- VTLM Lince: over 2 metres in height, 4700 kg in weight, 130 km/h top speed, permanent 4X4 traction and great agility. It is used by the Italian Army and other corps around the world
Guardia di Finanza at Militalia for its 250th Anniversary!
This year Guardia di Finanza celebrates its 250th anniversary and Militalia will also pay tribute to this important occasion!
The event, in fact, will host, inside Pavilion C, the official representative stand of the Military Corps with Economic and Financial Police competences, born in 1774 with the official establishment of the ‘Legione Truppe Leggere’ by the Regno di Sardegna.
In 1862, after the unification of Italy, the financial corps of the previous states of the peninsula were united in the Corpo delle Guardie Doganali, protagonist of the Third War of Independence in 1866 and the taking of Rome in 1870. Subsequently, there were several evolutions: in 1875 the Fiamme Gialle became the symbol of the institution; in 1881 the Corps was renamed Guardia di Finanza, and in 1906 the financiers were given an autonomous military order that is still in force today.
In the outdoor area, it will also be possible to admire the GDF’s Leonardo AW169 helicopter, a vehicle with a length of 14.65 metres and a height of 4.50 metres capable of reaching a maximum speed of 296 km/h.
Finally, back in Pavilion C, visitors will be able to put themselves to the test with the Laser Weapons Shooting Simulator by the Fiamme Gialle.
