Militalia, now in its 73rd edition, is the fair dedicated to collectors of military objects, books and historical documents. The event has always also been an occasion for the re-enactment and representation of historical memory, with lectures and fans in the guise of soldiers from all over the world. Specifically, the exhibition will focus mainly on the 19th century and the two World Wars.

Culter Expo

Knives for collecting, hunting, bushcrafting and other uses.

Here’s what will be on sale at Culter Expo, the trade exhibition hosted in pavilion C of Militalia and dedicated to blades of all sizes and designs.

Find the knife that’s right for you!

Military vehicles on exhibition

Militalia also means military vehicles on exhibition!

Here are the ones you will find at the fair:

  • DIAMOND T980: American tank transporter used during World War II and until the late 1950s. Tanks, in particular, were moved with the aid of a special trailer. There are 6548 of them in existence worldwide.
  • WARD LA FRANCE M1A1: a sort of ‘Heavy Wrecker’ tow truck used during the Second World War to recover and repair other vehicles on site (where possible).
  • M101 HOWITZER: an artillery weapon aimed at direct fire on targets. It entered production in 1941 and was part of the arsenal of several armies on the European and Pacific fronts in World War II. It has a range of 11200 metres and is therefore useful for supporting infantry.
  • GMC CC KW 353: this US truck, in addition to transporting military personnel, was also used, as a dump truck, for rubble removal operations in bombed cities and for the construction of airfields.
  • SPA DOVUNQUE 42: this is a light version of the SPA Dovunque 41 all-terrain truck and was used by the Regio Esercito and later by the Italian Army. Equipped with 6-wheel drive, it was one of the flagship vehicles of the defunct Società Piemontese Automobili.
  • FIAT 618 COLONIALE: Italian light truck put into production in 1935 for use in the Ethiopian War. Its main purpose was to transport people and materials, but it was sometimes used as a tractor for cannons and anti-tanks.
  • AUTOCARRETTA OM 37: a light vehicle that served to facilitate the movement of troops from mountainous areas to the valleys and back. This model was first presented in 1938 and had a payload of 900 kg.

More space to historical re-enactment!

Super news for lovers of historical re-enactment: the spring edition of Militalia will host no fewer than 10 associations (in Pavilion A and outside) , which will immerse visitors in past eras through educational stands, combat demonstrations and archery sessions.

Here are the associations:

The didactic desks, in particular, will be available for the two full days of the event, and the times of the combat simulations and archery trials will be announced shortly.

ASCD Nordiske Helte: try the Viking bow!

Do you want to try your hand at a Viking bow?

At Militalia, in the outdoor area, you can find the archery range of the historical re-enactment association ASCD Nordiske Helte, with historical archery workshops for adults and children!
